About EMNLP 2026

EMNLP 2026 is a research conference in Budapest, Hungary, running from Saturday, October 24 to Thursday, October 29, 2026 in hybrid format, with tutorials and workshops at either end of the six days. ACL's SIGDAT is the organiser. Main topics include language modeling, machine translation, multilingual NLP, dialogue systems, interpretability and ethics and bias, under the special theme New Missions for NLP Research. An industry track covers system efficiency, novel applications and methods for deployed systems.

The listed schedule includes a Welcome Reception, an opening session, a keynote by Pascale Fung, orals and posters, a virtual presentation session via Underline, a Preliminary Report on the AI Reviewing Experiment, and a panel on New Missions in NLP. Speakers named are Pascale Fung, Graham Neubig and Anna Korhonen. It suits NLP and LLM researchers, applied ML engineers, early-career researchers and PhD students.
